Tree and Shrub Planting Services for New Hampshire

Tree and Shrub Plantings: Designed With Your Budget in Mind

There comes a point when every landscape needs a refresh. Removing overgrown shrubs that hide the front of the house, planting a privacy hedge to shield you from nosy neighbors, or some lawn area trees for future shade. It is a well-known fact proper landscape plantings will improve curb appeal and increase the value of your home. What is the best way to go about tree and shrub plantings around your house? Should you hire a landscape designer?

Landscape Design-Build Services

If you are planning to develop a significant part of your yard – a new pool patio or hardscaping project for example – it may be worthwhile to invest in a landscape plan. In fact, landscape companies that specialize in executing large-scale projects often include a landscape plan with their fees. A landscape designer will meet with the client and spend time talking about plants and material preferences for the project.

At Giant, we do not provide design or get involved with extensive landscape design-build services.

I hired Giant to tear out my old softscape and install new evergreen , a tree and flowers. Also, I added cobblestone and river rock – it came out great!

Landscape Renovation and Plantings

Unfortunately, many homeowners are on a budget and do not require the services of a landscape designer or the high cost of a landscape design-build company. They just want a fresh look for their property. They need some professional guidance on making their yard look better. Homeowners don’t mind doing a little legwork themselves, but perhaps they need someone to install the trees and shrubs. That’s where Giant Landscaping comes in!

How We Do Landscape Planting

  1. Preparation
    1. We meet with you to discuss your wishes and make recommendations for your yard.
    2. Provide you with a quote to remove the old shrubs and a recommended budget for plants.
    3. Our crews remove the old plants and prepare for installing new ones.
  2. Plant Selection
    1. You take a photo of your property to a nursery that we partner with. They will help you select new plants that are best for your home according to your budget.
  3. Installation
    1. Our crews pick up the plants at the nursery and install them – or if you prefer, you can have them delivered and install them yourself.
    2. We finish the bed with fresh edge and a healthy layer of bark mulch to help retain moisture.

Think “Giant” for Large Tree Installations!

If you have moved to a new development and need large trees installed, or you just don’t have time to wait for tree to grow, think "Giant"! We have been doing large tree installations since 2003.

We can plant 6”-8” caliper shade trees (about 16’-18’ height) and full-grown evergreen hedges 10’-14’ feet tall. Because these projects require significant more financial investment, our process is a little different:

  1. An itemized quote will be provided prior to commencing the project.
  2. Our project manager will invite you to select your plant material at a wholesale nursery.
  3. Dig Safe will be called 72 hours prior to installation.
  4. Plant Material will be delivered and installed same day.

So, whether you have a small project or want large trees now - don’t call the landscape designer or fancy design-build firm - call Giant Landscaping for professional landscape plantings within your budget!
